With only 11 days to the kick off of the 2021/22 FUFA Big League season, promotion hopefuls Kyetume FC have revealed their 30 man squad that will be used in the quest to bounce back to the Uganda Premier league.
The Slaughters brought in ten new but experienced faces including former Vipers left back Dan Birikwalira who rejoined from Arua Hill SC.
Other new recruits are former KCCA goalkeeper Jamil Malyamungu, Denis Lubowa from Kigezi HomeBoyz, former Soana FC ( now Tooro United duo Emmanuel Kalyowa, and Abudallah Nyanzi, Rahumatah Kagimu ( Seeta United), Robert Nyanzi ( Kasenge United), Vincent Kasoki ( Kitara United), Patrick Mubiru (Kireka United) and Austin Opoka from Onduparaka FC
They also managed to renew contracts for Charles Musoke, Steven Kagoda, Emmanuel Obua and Baker Buyala.
Forward Bashir Wandawa and Kelvin Tah Barni were promoted from the Junior team to the senior team.
Latif Kiyemba, Benon Tahomera, Steven Kabuye, Ezra Kaye Kizito, Deo Isejja, Joshua Kigozi, Julius Lule, Henry Orom, Felix Okot, James Ssemambo, David Oyedda Seyi and Cephas Kambuggu still had running contracts and will be part of the Mukono based side.
David Mutono Katono will be the head coach assisted by Hamidu Kibirango as his first assistant.
The second assistant will be Kaddu Mukasa while John Billy Lukoda is the goalkeeping coach.
The club will have Martin Burch Namugera as the CEO.
Kyetume FC will start the season against Luweero United on the 12th of November at Nakisunga grounds in Mukono.
