Kyetume FC kick start re-greening Nakisunga playground

After completing the grueling grading phase of Nakisunga playground, Kyetume Football Club with the assistance of their fans have started the grass planting exercise.

Kyetume FC started the upgrade process last year with the help of authorities at Mukono District.

In the just concluded season, the Mukono based side used three venues which are Mandela National Stadium, Njeru Technical Centre and Mighty Arena stadium.

The Club CEO Emmanuel Musinguzi during an interview with Sanyuka television is confident that they will be able to use Nakisunga playground in the 2020/21 campaign.

“We expect to complete the renovation of Nakisunga playground before the start of the 2020/21 season and we are very confident that we are to use the venue as our home ground next campaign.” He said.

“We have superb fans and we definitely hope to yield more on this ground next season.”

For starters, this is the venue the club used on their way to the top tier division during the 2018/19 Big league season. Kyaggwe Ssaza football team has also used their same ground while competing in the prestigious Masaza Cup championship. 

The ground will comprise of dressing rooms and an internal perimeter fence.

Kyetume FC finished in 11 place with 30 points in their debut season in Uganda’s top flight division.
