Kyaddondo have returned to the 2021 Masaza Cup tournament after a decision by the appeals committee that revoked the earlier decision.
The Masaza Cup organizing committee had deducted three points and goals from Kyadondo for using an eligible player Edrisa Kibumba Kasirye.
The new development was confirmed in a development released by the Masaza Appeals committee secretary Aisha Nalule
“Kyadondo is now awarded three points and three goals.” Edrisa Kibumba Kasirye is also allowed to continue taking part in the competition, overturning the earlier decision.”
According to the appeals committee, Kibumba appears in the FUFA Connect system but was not licensed and did not appears on any Blacks Power FUFA Big League lineup.
This means that Kyadondo qualifies as the second placed team in Masengere group with 7 points and will face Muganzirwazza Group winners Buddu in the quarterfinals.
Ssingo who had earlier made it to the last eight after accumulating six points are now out following the latest development.
