Bandari beat Sony Sugar 3-0 at Mbaraki in Mombasa to go third on the Kenyan Premier league log. Former KCCA FC and Vipers player William Wadri scored a brace as David Kingatua grabbed one.
Wadri who was making his first start put his side in a deserved an early lead after 7minutes with a brilliant finish. The first period ended with the home side leading 1-0.
In the resumption, the former KCCA FC player found his second of the day also doubling Bandari’s lead in the 47th minute. David Kingatua was also on target for the hosts.
Following a comfortable win, Bandari moved to third place on the table with 11 points from six matches.
In other results, Reigning Kenyan Premier league champions Gor Mahia edged Nzoia Sugar FC 1-0 at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, thanks to Ade Omondi solitary goal. Ugandan international Godfrey Walusimbi was not among the 18 Gor Mahia man squad.
Victory sees Gor Mahia bridge a 6 point gap at the summit having accumulated 16 points in 6 games. The other fixture saw Nakumatt humiliate Chemelil Sugar FC 4-1 away from home.
