KPL: Wadri stars as Bandari stun Kariobangi Sharks 3-0

Bandari FC outclassed Kariobangi Sharks 3-0 in a Kenyan Premier League contest at Mbaraki Sports Club on Saturday 28th to go third on the log.

Ugandan forward William Wadri netted a brace and Joshua Oyo grabbing the other to ensure Bernard Mwalala’s men get a comfortable victory.

The home side hit the front in the 14th minute through William Wadri after receiving a beautiful pass from Willy Lugogo. Moments later, Felly Mulumba thought he had doubled Bandari’s lead but was disallowed through offside.

Bandari FC went in the halftime break comfortably sitting in the driving seat courtesy of a William Wadri lone goal.

In the second half, Sharks came out looking for an equalizer but the hosts were organised and solid at the back.

The visitors tactician William Muluya made the first substitution as George Abege paved way for Harrison Mwendwa.

Joshua Oyo replaced Darias Msagha as Bandari’s first change while Sharks made their second with James Mazembe replacing Michael Bodo.

In the 73rd minute, William Wadri completed his brace as he extended hosts lead finishing perfectly a well delivered Abdalla Hassan corner kick.

Bandari also introduced on Wycliffe Ochomo for Yema Mwana.

Second half substitute Joshua Oyoo put the icing on the cherry of the cake with a glorious free kick goal send the Mombasa fans into jumping up and down. The game ended 3-0 with Ugandan striker William Wadri making all the headlines.

Victory takes Bandari in 3rd place with 39 points garnered from 24 games while Kariobangi Sharks are 7th on the table following defeat with 34 points in 23 games.
