He was unveiled along side his assistant Charles Okere whose other responsibility will be to undertake the youth team.

Matano is arguably one of the most experienced coaches in the Kenya premier league and has previously handled a number of teams which include; Gor Mahia, Ulinzi, Sofa Paka and was recently sacked by the management at the AFC Leopards citing a series of poor performance including bowing out of the CAF confederations cup in the preliminary round when they fell to Madagascar’s Fosa Juniors and leaving the 11 time KPL Champions just one place above relegation.

The respectable tactician is said to have previously helped Kenyan stars along the way in their careers. These include: Tottenham Hotspurs’ Victor Wanyama and his brother MacDonald Mariga, Musa Othieno and most recently Engineer Michael Olunga at Tusker FC. He now returns to mould more.

Matano joins the Brewers at a time they have a very tight fixture this week with two games in a space of 3 days and his first assignment will be the game against Wazito FC tommorow ( Wednesday, 25th, 2018) before facing Sony sugar on Friday.

Tusker FC is home to Ugandans Mathew Odongo, Robert Achema, Hashim Ssempala and Lawrence Kasadha. They currently sit 15th with 10 points on the table of 18 teams.
