Gor Mahia registered their first win of the fresh new Kenyan Premier League campaign by mauling Zoo Kericho 4-0 at MISC Kasarani.
Ephrem Guikan scored a brace before Samuel Onyango and debutant Erisa Sekisambu netted a goal a piece as Hassan Oktay’s charges bounced back from their opening 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bandari. Shafik Batambuze also started for the home side
Guikan gave Gor Mahia the lead in the opening minute of the encounter before completing his brace from the spot after Samuel Onyango was brought down in the 16th minute.
Heading towards halftime, Samuel Onyango put the cherry on the icing of the cake with a super header. At halftime, the reigning Kenyan champions were 3-0 up.
In the resumption, Gor Mahia continued to threaten and in the 72nd minute debutant and substitute Erisa Sekisambu introduced himself to the home fans with a goal to complete a perfect day for Oktay coached side.
Both side were reduced to ten as Francis Kahata ( Gor Mahia) received matching orders for altercation with his opponent who was also sent off.
