KCCA FC left back Mustafa Kizza joined the rest of the Uganda Cranes players camping at Gems International School in Butabika ahead of this year’s CHAN event in Cameroon.

Kizza missed the previous training sessions as he was away for trials in Switzerland but took part in Monday’s sessions.

Custodian Charles Lukwago also got involved in full training for the first time while defender Halid Lwaliwa and Abdul Karim Watambala continued with specialised sessions.

Mike Mutyaba missed training on Monday morning to undergo medical tests after feeling ill on Sunday. He will be under supervision by both his club KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes medical team until the final results are revealed.

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) precursor – the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) – gets underway in Cameroon on April 4 through 25 with Uganda making their fifth straight appearance.

Uganda will fight it out against defending champions Morocco, neighbours Rwanda, and debutants Togo in Group C of the event. The top two will progress to the quarterfinals.
