Businessman Cum-politician Sulaiman Kiwanuka climaxed 2021 in style at Namanoga Seeta Namuganga with a sporting events dubbed Ekibbiitu Ky’ebyemizanyo on 31st December.
Kiwanuka who is focusing on developing sports and the well being of the people of Nakifuma held two events in Nakifuma with the second last on Boxing Day at Kimenyedde Sub-county before Ekibbiitu Ky’ebyemizanyo.
People of Namanoga ushered in 2022 by showcasing their talents in various sports disciplines such as Football, Netball, Athletics, Boxing, singing and dancing.
Kiwanuka was entertained with the boxers at event and promised to promote the outstanding performers
“I have picked interest in the Nakifuma Boxing community, these boys have a future and I will give them support during this year.”
In Football, Seeta Namuganga edged Spartans 09 7-6 on penalties after a 1-1 all draw in normal time.
Seeta Namuganga walked away with a and a prize money package of Shs1M.
Friends of Kiwanuka beat a Media select 2-0 in a curtain raiser game whereas Namuganga Stoppage Soccer Academy lost 2-0 to Kasawo’s Esteem Soccer Academy in the other curtain raiser.
The events are expected to be staged on a regular basis around various places in Nakifuma as Kiwanuka seeks to develop talents in the Constituency.
