Kitara Fc played to a goalless draw away to Kira on match day two of the Big league season in a match that was distracted by a heavy down pour.

In the first stanza the visitors Kitara Fc looked the better side ready to hit the lead by causing several attacks to the hosts. Billy Alinda thought he had given Kitara the early break through but his joy was cut short since his goal couldn’t stand through offside.
Towards the last minutes of the first period it started to box down heavily and this led the match officials calling off the game for almost an hour.
The game later returned to action though no side could find a way through the first 45 minutes.
In the second half Kira United managed to stabilize and looked more comfortable than in the first half but lacked that creative spark to breakdown a defensively organized Kitara side.
In the last minutes of the game Pius Mbadde was given matching orders due to dangerous play.
Kira United tactician Hamza Kalanzi says the heavy rains denied them a win,
“It hasn’t been an easy game for us due to heavy rainfall which affected us so much to an extent that we just held on for a point in the second half.”
