Kisujju stars as Ndejje down Nyamityobora in relegation six-pointer

Ndejje University edged fellow relegation candidates Nyamityobora 3-1 at the Arena of Visions in Luweero.

Isaac Kisujju Onyango was on target twice after coming of the bench while Robert Eseru scored the other for the NDU Lions.

Eseru headed the home side in a first half lead from a Ronald Odokonyero ball at the half hour mark.

Kisujju was brought on for Sam Matovu in the 57th minute before scoring a brace.

The former Express, SC Villa, Maroons and Simba striker made it 2-0 in the 64th minute before nailing the last nail in Nyamityobora’s coffin 12 minutes to normal time.

Joseph Akandwanaho pulled one back for the Alex Isabirye’s team in the 71st minute before Kisujju completed his brace.

The result put Ndejje University to two points below SC Villa and Maroons.

Nyamityobora remain second from bottom with 17 points garnered from 26 games.

Ndejje will visit fellow strugglers SC Villa in another relegation six-pointer on Tuesday 16th April at Namboole.

Nyamityobora will also have to negotiate their next fixture against another strugglers Maroons FC on Saturday 20th April at Kakyeka.
