16 time Uganda premier league champions SC Villa scored a late penalty through Ambrose Kirya to extend their unbeaten run to 9 matches.
They last lost a football match on the opening day of the 2019/20 season, a 1-0 defeat to Kyetume at Namboole.
On a muddy pitch, Villa who were hosting from Maroons’ prisons grounds, fell behind to a Brian Majwega penalty in the 21st minute when an off color Yayo Lutimba brought down pacy winger Joachim Ojera in the forbidden area.
URA continued to press harder for a killer punch before half time but Saidi Keni in Villa’s goal was equal to the questions asked by the URA forward line.

In the second period, Villa’s Edward Kaziba introduced on Nicholas Kabonge and experienced striker Faisal Muwawu to induce more urgency to his attack line.
Villa almost bagged an equaliser but thanks to Nafian Alionzi’s acrobatic involvement, the ball was narrowly tipped over the bar for a corner kick.
With Simbwa already in jubilant mood, in fact he had started directing mocking gestures and words to his opposite bench, Ibrahim Kirya in particular, the 4th official George William Nkurunziza signalled 3 minutes to be added onto the game.
In the final minute of this, Muwawu got released by Asuman Harishe’s through ball and he rushed towards goal.
His pace proved too much for Hudu Mulikyi who brought him down in the forbidden area. Oloya made no mistake but to point to the spot whose resultant kick was flawlessly burried home by Kirya.
The result means that SC Villa maintain their 4th place on 17 points, whereas URA continue to disappoint in 10th place on 11 points.
