The much anticipated Jinja derby between Kirinya Jinja SS and BUL FC ended in an entertaining 1-1 all draw at the Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.
BUL took the lead in the 36th minute through striker Patrick Asiku Crespo who capitalised on Kirinya’s defensive lapse with a calm finish off from a Umar Mukobe cross.
7 minutes to normal time, midfielder Ibrahim Kayiwa tapped in from close range a Muledhu Faizo free kick to salvage a point for the hosts.
BUL fc midfielder Patrick Sembuya received match orders following dangerous foul on Kirinya’s Godfrey Akol in the dying minutes of the game.
Kirinya JSS have now collected 5 points from 3 games while BUL have earned their second point of the season. Kirinya JSS will play Bright Stars at Mwererwe in their next fixture on Tuesday whereas BUL will take on UPDF at Kakindu on Wednesday.
