Kirinya Jinja S. S FC have appointed Hamza Kalanzi as their new head coach to guide them through their 2nd season in the Azam Uganda premier league.
He has put pen to paper on a 2 year contract running until 2019, Hamza Kalanzi has previously coached at SC Villa and he took over the helms at Lweza FC last season when Ibrahim Kirya left for URA. He will be assisted by Zungu Hassan and former Villa custodian Hannington Kalyesubula as the goal keeping coach. His predecessor Abbey Bogere has been appointed the Director of youth programs at the club.
A delighted Kalanzi was quoted by the club media saying,
“I am delighted to be joining one of one the best football clubs currently in Uganda with football structures, i can’t wait to get started. This is a football team with great potential and joining them is a dream come true”.
Club C. E. O Ahmed Magoola also expressed the optimism and hope the club have in Kalanzi. He said,
“Kalanzi is one of the few talented football coaches with vast experience in Ugandan football, every team would wish to have him. We shall give him all the necessary support and backing in execution of his duties at the club. Welcome to Kirinya Jinja S. S FC.
