Ugandan midfielder Keziron Kizito came off the bench to score as his club AFC Leopards edged a resurgent Bidco United 2-1 in the GOtv Cup round of 16 at the Thika Municipal Stadium.

Both Leopards’ scorers Samuel Ndugu’u and Kezironi Kizito were on target for the first time since joining the club. Ndugu’u opened his Ingwe scoring record when he found the back of the net in the 13th minute.

Keziron replaced Haruna Nyakha 15 minutes into the second half and doubled Leopards’ lead ten minutes later. David Juma found a consolation for Bidco United when he flawlessly finished off a cross from Herritier Luvualu.

Keziron’s effort was his first goal in the Ingwe colours since moving from Uganda last month. The former Vipers’ midfielder was also making his fourth appearance for the 2013 winners.

Keziron’s compatriot Musa Mudde was employed in the left back position and his error almost gave Bidco United an equaliser in the first 20 minutes of the game.

AFC Leopards will now play against League 2 side Wazito FC in the Quarter finals.
