Kenya reveals final squad for CECAFA U23 Challenge Cup

Kenya has become the first nation to reveal their final squad for the upcoming CECAFA U23 Challenge to be held in Ethiopian City of Bahir Dar.

Kenya U23 (Emerging Stars) head coach Stanley Okumbi has named the traveling team that left for Ethiopia in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

Tusker FC winger Boniface Muchiri is included in the squad as one of the senior players alongside Wazito FC captain Bernard Ochieng and Kakamega Homeboyz forward Daniel Okoth.

It should be noted that the tournament permits three players who are above the 23 age bracket.

Kenya was pooled in Group C alongside South Sudan and Djibouti.

They will start their campaign against Djibouti on July 19th before facing off with South Sudan on July 22nd.

The winner of Group C will face off with the runners up of Group B in the semi finals.
