Ugandan representatives KCCA FC will face Rwanda’s AS Kigali in the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers.

The first leg ended 2-1 in favor of Orapa United in Botswana but the Rwandan side won the return leg 1-0 on home soil.

Orapa United is home to Ugandan offensive midfielder Lawrence Ndugga who has been denied a chance to face a club from his home country.

Under coach Mike Mutebi, KCCA FC will be aiming for their first appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages since their 2017 campaign.

Last year, AS Kigali lost to Uganda’s Proline FC at the same stage after eliminating Tanzania’s KMC in the preliminary round.

It will be AS Kigali to host the first leg which is expected to be played between 22nd and 23rd December in Kigali, Rwanda.

The return leg will be played on 5th or 6th January 2021 at the MTN Omondi Stadium at Lugogo.
