KCCA FC are set to sign left-back Moses Kalanzi as a replacement for the departing Mustafa Kizza, sources reveal.

Kalanzi has of late been plying his trade in Denmark with Jammerbugt FC formerly known as Blokhus FC and had a brief stint in Sweden as well.

Swift Sports has learnt that talks between KCCA and the Player’s representatives are in advanced stages with the player being currently on holiday in the country.

Initially, KCCA had talks with Yayo Lutimba whose contract at SC Villa expired but seemingly dithered when it came to the transfer fees.

Kalanzi can play as a left-back but also a left full-back and he is expected to fill the missing piece of KCCA’s backline.

He is a former Super Cubs Academy player and a product of the Kampala Kids League (KKL) but also featured for the Nsenene team in the Bika By’abaganda Tournament.

He played for the Uganda U-17 team and the U-23 team. Notably, he was part of the squad that represented Uganda in the 2011 All Africa Games in Maputo.

He is set to be KCCA’s eighth signing after Ashraf Mugume, Charles Lwanga, Stephen Mazengo Loro, Brian Aheebwa, Samson Andrew Kigozi, Bright Anukani and Dennis Iguma.

The 13-time league champions are also set to announce the signing of former UPL top scorer Juma Balinya who successfully underwent a medical test early this week.
