The two sides have met on 3 occasions before and this will be their 4th, the most recent being the heartbreaking 3-2 defeat in Tunis.

KCCA FC tactician Mike Mutebi however is positive that his team have learned from their previous misdemeanors and they are set to stage a fight to recovery.

” We have definitely found a remedy for that, we were leading 2-0 after 35 minutes but we failed to contain the situation, we couldn’t hold onto possession, everyone was sorry for themselves and shying away from responsibility” .

” We are home and the confidence is higher than it was in Tunisia, we hope for the best”.

Mutebi said in the pre match press briefing at Mandela National Stadium.

KCCA will miss 3 of the starters in Tunis, Gift Ali and Jackson Nunda are injured, where as Mohammed Shaban is out seeking to join the foreign paid ranks.

On the contrary, Mutebi has confirmed that Patrick Kaddu will lead the line in the absence of Shaban and Co

” He was 3rd in the pecking order behind Shaban and Nsibambi but now he will take over the responsibility and I believe he will deliver”.

Victory for Esperance will send them on 10 points and ultimately seal qualification for them where as KCCA will have resurrected their chances .

In the same group, 2nd placed Al Ahly will travel to Botswana for a date with 3rd placed Township rollers.
