KCCA FC fought from 2 goals down to beat 2018 CECAFA champions Azam FC at the StarTimes stadium last evening.

Azam went ahead with early goals from Aggrey Morris who scored from the spot after Awany’s foul in the box, Danny Lyanga doubled the lead in the 6th minute.

Muzamir Mutyaba reduced the the deficit with a thumping header off a Muwadda cross in the 16th minute. A close range header from Timothy Awany off Muwadda assist levelled matters in the game at the 45th minute

The Kampala outfit pressed harder and Allan Kyambadde thumped in another superb header off Mustapha Kizza corner kick in the 49th minute.

AZAM FC tried to restore parity but Ikara Tom KCCA FC stopper made a picture book save to deny the visitors.

Patrick Kaddu joined the scoring sheet with a tap in in the 69th minute to stretch KCCA’s lead.

KCCA FC will return to back in action on 14th August as they host Nyamityobora FC in the PilsnerSuper8 tournament at the Star times Stadium Lugogo.
