KCCA FC thrashed new league comers Nyamityobora FC 6-1 at Lugogo to go top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table on 18 points.
Patrick Kaddu, Jackson Nunda, Timothy Awanyi, Allan Okello and substitute Mike “Sulaiman” Mutyaba were on the score sheet to ensure the mauling of the lowly placed Nyamityobora.
Kaddu opened the day with his routine dancing celebration after brushing home a long range pass from Awanyi as early as the fourth minute.
Nyamityobora custodian Hillary Jomi who was at fault in Kaddu’s goal, pulled down an onrushing Okello in the box to grant Awanyi an opportunity to score the second from the spot in the 22nd minute.
Okello made it 3-0 with a thunderbolt left footed strike after being brilliantly fed by Kaddu at the edge of the box a minute to the mandatory halftime break.
Mike Mutebi brought on Sadam Juma and Mike Mutyaba for Allan Kyambadde and Okello at the start of the second half.
The two substitutes combined to make it 4-0 at the hour mark. Sadam sent a defense splitting pass to Mutyaba who fired from close range past a hapless Jomi in goal.
The visitors also pulled one back courtesy of Ibrahim Juma Dada 7 minutes later. Dada had replaced Ibrahim Pengere at the start of the second half.
Julius Poloto would have registered his name on the score sheet but squandered a glorious chance with only Jomi in his way.
Mutyaba completed his brace at the 72nd minute mark with a left footed low drive from close range.
Kaddu was provider once again setting up Nunda who tapped home to put the icing on the cake a minute to normal time.
The match aftermath saw Nyamityobora part ways with their head coach James Odoch.
Nyamityobora sit 15th with only 4 points garnered from 8 games played.
Next on card for KCCA will be a game against Maroons FC while Nyamityobora will lock horns with fellow stragglers SC Villa.
