KCCA bids to consolidate top 4 place in visit to UPDF

Eighth placed UPDF hosts fourth placed KCCA on match day 25 of the Uganda Premier League at Bombo Military Barracks grounds.

KCCA managed to register a 2-0 victory against relegation threatened Kyetume thanks to Julius Poloto and Sam Ssenyonjo for the goals.

The Army side lost their most recent game 1-0 to Express at Wankulukuku.

In the last three meetings both sides have met KCCA have won twice while the other one has ended in a stalemate.

Kefa Kisala’s side will be without Saif Bate, Douglas Kisembo and Ibrahim Wammanah as the are nursing injuries while captain Denis Ssekitoleko is suspended but they welcome back Dickens Okwir and Simon Mbaziira

Brian Kalumba, James Begesa, Alex Kitata and Joseph Bright Vuni are expected to lift the Army side as they seek revenge against Morley Byekwaso’s side.

The visitors will miss out Brian Aheebwa, Filbert Obenchan, John Revita and Musa Ramathan due to injuries while Dominic Ayella has school engagements.

Poloto, Ssenyonjo, captain Charles Lukwago and Andrew Samson Kigozi are expected to inspire KCCA to victory.

Maximum points will help UPDF move to the seventh position on 36 points.

Byekwaso’s side will strengthen their hold on 4th place with victory.
