Uganda Cranes midfielder Yasser Mugerwa has joined Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC on a two year contract.
Mugerwa who has been playing for Sidama Bunna in Ethiopia, was a transfer target for Express FC.
Express were in negotiations to make him their first signing in the ongoing transfer window but the talks have not materialized.
He returns to the Uganda Premier League after six years having left the country in 2015 to join South African side Orlando Pirates.
Mugerwa last featured for URA FC, a side he joined from the now defunct SC Victoria University.
The box to box midfielder played for Ethiopian clubs St. George, Fassil Ketema and Shire Indeselassie before joining his most recent club Sidama Bunna.
He also played for Nkumba University and Mutundwe based Super Cubs Soccer Academy in the lower divisions.
His arrival comes at a time when KCCA are in preparations for the forthcoming CECAFA Clubs Kagame Cup that will be held early next month in Tanzania.
KCCA have already signed Brian Majwega (URA FC), Arafat Usama (Kajjansi United) and UPDF’s Brian Kayanja.
