KCCA announce the signing of free agent Yasser Mugerwa

Express FC were also interested in Mugerwa's signature but they were let off by a huge sign on fee demanded by the player.

KCCA FC have completed the signing of Uganda Cranes and former Orlando Pirates midfielder Yasser Mugerwa.

The Midfielder joins as free agent after expiry of his employment contract with Ethiopian outfit Sidama Buna Football Club.

The midfielder has penned a two year deal at KCCA FC that will see him feature for the side until 2023/

Express FC were also interested in Mugerwa’s signature but they were let off by a huge sign on fee demanded by the player.

The playmaker began his football career at Nateete based side Super Cubs before he joined Nkumba University.

He has featured for Sports Club Victoria University, URA FC, South African side Orlando Pirates and Ethiopian sides St.George, Gondar based Fassil Kenema FC, Sehul Shire and Sidama Buna FC.

Mugerwa has seven National team caps since his debut in 2014. He also featured at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament that was staged in South Africa in 2014.

He joins new recruits Brian Majwega, Brian Kayanja, Arafat Usama and Emmanuel Alex Wasswa.
