KCCA FC have agreed a deal in principle to sign Brian Aheebwa from Mbabara City.

Mbarara City wanted to keep their starman for another two years but the player has opted to join Mike Mutebi’s side and is expected to sign a three year employment contract at the Lugogo outfit.

Sources indicate that Mbarara City have now lined up former Synergy striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe currently at Nyamityobora as Aheebwa’s replacement.

Aheebwa has established himself as one of the most exciting players in Uganda Premier league. In the just concluded season he has scored 8 league goals.

Aheebwa, a former Nyamityobora striker, is Mbarara City’s all time leading scorer and was instrumental in the club’s promotion to the top-flight.

KCCA FC are also close to completing deals for Pius Obuya, Ashraf Mugume and Charles Lwanga.

The 13 time Uganda Premier league side finished second last season with 50 points and will now represent Uganda in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup
