SC Villa are expected not to renew head coach Edward Kaziba’s employment contract, Swift Sports understands.

Sources revealed to this website that officials at the club are not convinced that Kaziba is the right man to guide them back to glory days.

The tactician is currently out of contract and the 16 time Uganda Premier League champions are expected to begin the search for a new coach immediately after the Congress which is slated for July 17th.

It is also believed that some players at the club told the bosses that Kaziba’s methods of training are outdated.

His assistant Ibrahim Kirya is also on the verge of joining Big League side Kyetume FC as their new head coach.

Kaziba joined Uganda’s most successful football club SC Villa in August 2019 on a year employment contract.

In his first season, the CAF “A” licensed coach helped the club finish third on the Uganda Premier League log while the just concluded campaign was another disappointing showing as the club finished 10th and lost to Vipers SC in the quarterfinals of the Uganda Cup.
