SC Villa face an uphill task of overturning a 1-0 deficit inflicted on them by Big league side Ndejje University at their own ground in Bombo.
Head coach Edwardo Kaziba has however vowed to make sure that the Jogoos will do just enough to see them through.
“We honestly had a bad day but we believe the tie is far from over. We have enough time to lay all the strategies required to beat them at their home and go through to the next round” .
“There have been concerns of fatigue and tiredness but we are a big team that can always fight back. Thankfully , we have a massive opportunity of a return leg to make amends”
“We have to make changes in approach different from the one employed in the first leg and we believe we have enough ammunition to execute that.
Ndejje University were given a surprise away goal advantage courtesy of Brian Ssali second half strike that Villa failed to respond to.
The return leg will be played Sunday 11th April 2021 at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje.
Villa last won the Uganda cup in the 2015/16 season, when they beat KCCA at Mandela National stadium. To date, it remains their only silverware in the last 15 years.
