Kawalya throws in the towel at Kitara FC

Following a poor start to the new Big league campaign, Kitara head Sam Kawalya has stepped down from this role after just four months since being appointed by the club.

His exit has however not been approved by the club. Swift sports understands.

The former Mbarara city tactician has only managed to win one point for Kitara from his opening two matches.

Kawalya joined Kitara FC on a one year employment contract with the major objective as guiding the Big league club to top tier promotion this season but things have not gone on well for the former Express FC and Villa player.

Last season, he helped Mbarara City to overcome the threat of relegation in the topflight division. Kawalya also served as assistant coach at Express FC.

Kitara FC last season painfully failed to secure topflight football after losing to Paidha Black Angels 4-2 on spotkicks in the play offs after a goalless draw in normal play.
