Kataka hummer Kitara to return promotion hopes on track

Kitara FC suffered a 6-1 humiliating defeat at the hands of Kataka FC at Mbale Municipal Stadium.

Derrick Onyai scored twice for Kataka FC a side that was bouncing back to winning ways having suffered a 2-1 defeat against Luweero United in the previous game.

Swamad Okur, Noah Kizito and Emma Mukisa were the other goal scorers for Kataka FC.

The sixth was an own goal by defender Ali Ayatu who scored in his own net.

Kitara FC had to finish the game with one man less when their goal scorer Charles Kyomuhendo was sent off in the last minute of the game.

Kataka FC close in after victory moving to the fourth position with 28 points.

Kitara FC after the defeat sit in the seventh position with 20 points.

Kataka FC next visit relegation candidate MYDA FC on Thursday 17th at King George IV Memorial Stadium.

On the same day, Kitara FC hosts Luweero United at Masindi Municipal Stadium.
