Kampala region clarifies on key fixture omissions

Kampala region football association has clarified on why Kireka United, Black Star Masanafu and SC Lamancia did not appear on the earlier released fixtures.

Isaac Ssengendo the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kampala Region revealed that the 4 teams failed to fulfill licensing requirements before the deadline.

“The four teams do not appear on the fixture due to failure to fulfill the club licensing requirements of which the deadline is today Friday 27th-May-2020.”

“In case they clear the fixture will be adjusted and they will be added and in case of failure to comply we shall come out with the final decision.”

Ssengendo said.

17 teams have fulfilled the requirements to take part and are grouped into two groups which are Cobra and Scorpion.

Cobra comprises of 8 teams which are Edgars, Wembley, St Mary’s, Bweyogerere, Nansana, Nsambya, Ggaba and Lufula

Scorpion has Ntinda, Lungujja Galaxy, Super Heroes, CATDA, KJT, Kisugu United, Industrial Area, NEC and Katwe United.

The season is expected to end on 29th-June-2021 where the respective table leaders will face off to determine the Kampala Region champion.

Later the Kampala Region champion will play against Buganda Region champion where the winner gains Big League promotion
