The FUFA Women Super League title race is going down to the wire after the leading pair of Kampala Queens and She Corporate earned respective away victories.
Kampala Queens beat Lady Doves 2-1 in Masindi thanks to goals from Resty Nanziri and Zainah Namuleme in either half.
Nanziri fired the Queens to the lead in the 16th minute with her fourth goal in as many games before Nandede made it 2-0 a minute into the second stanza.
Leading scorer Fazila Ikwaput pulled one back for Lady Doves in the 87th minute and subsequently took her tally to 14 goals this season.
Elsewhere at Luzira, Favour Danielita Nambatya scored the all important goal for She Corporate who beat She Maroons 1-0.
Nambatya’s lone goal came a minute into the second half and took her tally to 10 goals.
Both She Corporate and Kampala Queens are tied on 35 points with the former leading courtesy of a slightly superior difference of (+12) compared to (+11) of Kampala Queens.
The game at Lubaga saw Uganda Martyrs register a slim 1-0 win over Rines SS thanks to Elizabeth Nakigozi’s six goal of the season.
UCU Lady Cardinals bounced back with a 4-2 win over an off colour Kawempe Muslim at Mukono.
Century goal celebrant Hasifah Nassuna grabbed a brace whereas Teddy Najjuma and Jackie Nakasi scored the other goal for the Lady Cardinals.
Youngsters Shakira Nyinagahirwa and Allen Nasaazi scored the two consolations for Kawempe.
Olila High School and Tooro Queens settled for a goalless draw in Soroti.
The league will resume on Tuesday 17th May with five games on the cards before officially climaxing next weekend.
