Kampala Queens name 18-player squad for FUFA Women Super League

Kampala Queens became the first team to name their final squad for the forthcoming Fufa Women Super League tournament to be held in Njeru.

The Eng. Moses Magogo owned club revealed a list of 18 players who will be under the tutelage of new coach Isma Mukiibi who took over from Farida Bulega.

Forward Zaina Namuleme is a notable absentee while Monica Namwase makes a return. U-20 national goalkeeper Joan Namusisi will take the mantle in absence of Lydia Adubango among other changes at the club.

Captain Fauzia Najjemba is expected to lead the team alongside national team players Lillian Mutuuzo and Resty Nanziri.

Kampala Queens is pitted in Group One alongside Kawempe Muslim, Makerere University, Tooro Queens and Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga.

The team will kick off the campaign against Kawempe Muslim on 19th April before facing Uganda Martyrs two days later.

They will take on Tooro Queens on 23rd April and concluded a day later with a game against Makerere University.
