Kampala Queens complete signing of Kawempe Muslim winger

Kunihira was part of the U17 team that won the Cosafa and Cecafa championships in 2019.

Kampala Queens have signed Crested Cranes and U20 winger Margret Kunihira. She has been a free agent after leaving Kawempe Muslim last month.

The youngster has been at Kawempe Muslim since 2018 when she was acquired from Kings of Kings secondary school of Fort Portal.

She had a brief stint with Asubo Gafford Ladies in 2018 and only featured in only two games before switching to Kawempe Muslim.

Kuniihira was a key member of Ayub Khalifa’s national U20 Women’s team that was eliminated by Ghana on the 5th round of the qualifiers to Costa Rica 2022 World cup

Kunihira was part of the U17 team that won the Cosafa and Cecafa championships in 2019.

 

She rose to the senior team The Crested Cranes and made her debut last year as Uganda beat Ethiopia 2-0 in the AWCON qualifiers at Kitende.

She is among the new big signings at Kampala Queens. Others include Shamira Nalugya (Kawempe Muslim), Zaina Nandede (She Kataka) and Zaitun Namaganda (Tagy High).

Kampala Queens will face Tooro Queens at Buhinga grounds on Sunday 13th February. They lost 2-0 to Kawempe Muslim in their first game at Kabojja on Wednesday.
