Kambale, Watenga headline Uganda’s squad to face South Africa

Eric Kambale is set to make his debut for Uganda Cranes despite being born in DR. Congo.

Uganda Cranes interim head coach Abdallah Mubiru has named a 34 man squad for the international friendly game against South Africa.

Express FC forward Eric Kambale and Bright Stars Joseph Akandwanaho who have been in astonishing form this season have also been included in the squad.

Goalkeeper Isma Watenga is back in the Cranes fold following his brilliant exploits at Chippa United in South Africa.

Midfielder Khalid Aucho, Allan Kyambadde, Fahad Bayo and defender Timothy Denis Awany are not part of the summoned team due to respective injuries.

Uganda will face South Africa on June 10th at the Orlando Stadium.

South Africa under their new coach Hugo Broos have already named a 19-man squad to take on Uganda.
