The Red Eagles under the tutelage of George Ssemwogerere welcome striker Eric Kambale who has been sidelined for the last two months due to a hamstring injury.

Kambale returned to training on Monday and is in line for the encounter against Peter Onen’s coached side.

BUL have been a hard nut to crack for the Uganda Cup record champions and come into this duel having won the most recent meeting a month ago thanks to a late Pierre Kambale Muhindo goal.

Express edged Police on penalties in the previous round while BUL walloped Bukedea Town Council 4-1 at Njeru.

Ssemwogerere will once again rely on Michael Birungi, Disan Galiwango and Frank Zaga Tumwesigye while goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga will have to be on his best if Express are to advance to the last four.

BUL will look up to offensive options in Hamis Tibita, James Otim and Express’ tormentor Kambale in search for their second semi final appearance since 2015.

The eventual winner between the two will join Bright Stars and Kyetume FC who have already qualified for the semi finals at the expense of Nebbi Central and Wakiso Giants.

Vipers and Proline will tussle it out for the fourth and final semi final slot on Tuesday at Lugogo.
