SINAN RAJUB SENOGA
Midfielder Rajab Kakooza scored the solitary goal as Onduparaka registered a slim 1-0 victory over Busoga United at Njeru.
The win sent Onduparaka to the second position with nine points, one behind leaders SC Villa.
This was the fifth win the Arua based outfit have registered over Busoga United (formerly Kirinya Jinja SSS) since their elevation to the top-flight in 2016.
Kakooza’s goal came at the stroke of halftime when he controlled a delivery from Gadaffi Wahab before shooting towards Ali Kimera who blundered as the ball found it’s way through his legs.
Ceaser Okhuti had also came close from a free kick but he was denied by the woodwork at the half hour mark.
Onduparaka have now registered three wins one of which (against Police) was awarded by forfeiture.
Busoga United will seek redemption against Mbarara City in their next game on Tuesday 1st October.
Onduparaka will for the first time this season host a league game in Arua as they welcome Wakiso Giants on October 2nd.
