Kaizer Chiefs complete the signing of Ugandan left back Walusimbi

Kaizer Chiefs have finally completed the signing of Uganda Cranes left back Godfrey Walusimbi alias Jajja Walu from Kenyan champions Gor Mahia.

The development was confirmed by Kaiser Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung via South African media IOL Sport.

Motaung confirmed that the deal has been finalized and that a compromise has been reached upon between the Amakhosi and Gor Mahia.

He further said that Walusimbi is only waiting for his registration card to start starting playing for Chiefs and that he will be unveiled very soon.

“We have had discussions with the club and the player and have finalised a deal. We will be making an announcement soon. As soon as he gets His registration card he will play for Chiefs, that is where we are. There are no issues between us and Gor Mahia. No player tapping or anything like that. we were in negotiations.”

Walusimbi was reported AWOL by Gor Mahia after he moved to South Africa a fortnight ago.

He will join David Obua, Ivan Bukenya and Sula Matovu “Malouda” as Ugandan players to have played for Kaizer Chiefs.
