The Arua based side indeed played like men on a mission especially in the second stanza but were unlucky not to take points home or even force a draw.

The first 45 minutes were balanced in play with no serious attacks on either side.Only Allan Okello had a long range shot at goal but Nicholas Ssebwato was up to deny the youngster any opportunity to score.

Into the first quarter of the second half, KCCA forwards had a good interplay in the opponents’ final third and the pressure yielded when defender Rashid Okocha brought down Allan Kyambadde in the forbidden area and referee Mashood Ssali awarded the hosts a penalty which Patrick Kaddu converted to give the Lugogo side a long awaited lead.

Faizul Ibrahim had to clear cut opportunities to level matters for the guests but his first effort kissed the woodwork before the other went just inches wide.

Nicholas Kagaba was also set up by substitute Ezra Bida but his shot went the wrong way.

Viane Ssekajugo is another Onduparaka player who could have scored on the day only to miss.

In their next fixtures, KCCA will visit Bright Stars at Mwererwe while Onduparaka will host Kirinya Jinja SS at the Green Light Stadium on 9th, February, 2019.
