Kabaddi Federation of Uganda, Indian Women Association unveil a one year partnership

The deal which is worthy Shs10M will cater for the Uganda Women's National Team (She Gladiators) with training kits, match day uniforms, Kabaddi shoes among other equipments for a period of one year.

On Saturday 12th, June, the Kabaddi Federation of Uganda and the Indian Women Association unveiled a one year sponsorship deal at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo.

The deal which is worthy Shs10M will cater for the Uganda Women’s National Team (She Gladiators) with training kits, match day uniforms, Kabaddi shoes among others for a period of one year.

Edgar Mujuni, the Federation’s General Secretary and proprietor of the game in Uganda thanked Indian Women Association for the sponsorship package

“I take this opportunity to thank the Indian Women Association for the sponsorship package which will help in branding our Ladies team the She Gladiators.” This is great for the development of the game and we are looking forward to more deals.”

Chairman Board of Trustees Indian Women Association Singh Katongole thanked the Federation for giving them the opportunity to support the ladies team

“We are lucky to sponsor the ladies teams. We thank the federation for bringing up this game and we promise to continue supporting the game in various activities.”

The event was attended by the Treasurer of Indian Women Association Neala Hudda and National team players led by team captain Nakaye Angela.

Indian Women Association is an organized body that looks after women and children in Uganda. It also carries out various social activities in the country.

Meanwhile, Kabaddi was established in Uganda in 2017 by Mujuni and it became a member of the National Council of Sports in 2018. It is mostly played in India
