Uganda U-17 national team captain and lead striker Juliet Nalukenge is using the current lockdown period to put more focus on her studies.

Nalukenge says the current period has allowed her to catch up with the general syllabus.

” I have been copying down the notes which I missed during the general class time so now I am using the current period to read my books since I have no football activity on my schedule.”

The reigning Airtel Fufa Awards MVP says she is also dedicating time for her body fitness in the evening.

” I have to maintain my body fitness so I use the evening hours to work out some personal drills within the compound because I know it is important for any player to stay fit irrespective of the current lockdown period.”

Before the lockdown, Nalukenge had scored three goals in the three matches she played for Kawempe Muslim in the Fufa Women Super League this season.
