Joseph Mpande was top scorer for City Yangon FC as they won promotion to the Myanmar premier league.

City Yangon striker Joseph Mpande has joined URA on a three months short deal.The 2016/17 season of Myanmar’s first division is under recess for four months and so the former Vipers Sc man has opted to sign for the tax collectors in a bid to keep his fitness and perhaps help URA FC in the short time he will be with them. He says,
“I have decided to join URA since i need to play active football and the league in Myanmar will take four months to return, so i wanted to keep fitness. City Yangon accepted my request and this will help me prepare well ahead of the new season in Myanmar’s top tier division,” he concluded.
Mpande guided City Yangon to top tier football after netting 29 goals for the side in Myanmar second division league.
He has previously played for Vipers sc and led them to the 2015 league triumph.
Mpande will join Ivan Bukenya and Henry Kisekka who have already decided to play for the tax collectors for four months in this forth coming Azam Uganda premier league.
