Ugandan international Joseph Mpande has joined Myanmar National League side Hanthawady United on a one year deal from City Yangon.
The talisman had joined URA Fc on a five months loan in September last year but his move was not successful due to problems in paper work. The striker was therefore ineligible to play for the revenue collectors during the first round of the current season.
“It was quite unfortunate that I was unable to help URA FC during the last 5 months but I believe my next move will be another big step in my career. I hope to help Hanthawady achieve it’s goals too”.
Mpande told www.swiftsportsug.com
At City Yangon during the 2016-17 season Mpande was the top scorer of the National league II, scoring a total of 31 goals. He also guided City Yangon to topflight division football.
Mpande started his football career at Joogo young from where he joined Bunamwaya (Vipers Sc ) before heading for greener pastures at City Yangon.
