John Ongodia resigns from his role as Blacks Power head coach.

Ongodia leaves just after a year into his 3 year contract

Johnny Ongodia has parted ways with FUFA Big League entity Blacks Power FC

He confirmed this move on his Facebook account where he appreciated the management, president, manager Agnes Mugena for believing in him and wished the team all the best,

“Thanks to management , the president for giving me a chance to be Head coach for 3 years until 2023.

“On a spacial note, I thank Manager AGNES MUGENA for believing in me and gave me the job when no one did ,God bless you mama/ manager God bless you, it’s unfortunate that this journey we started together has come to un end.

“To the players, nothing can describe what you been to me and the club this one year were we made history of qualifying for plays offs for first time, having a 2nd top scorer in the league in Baggio, Assist king Maduka,2nd best goal keeper in league with Odonkara, midfield Generals Obwana, Boyee and commander infield forces Captain Opio, wow best defense center back pairing of Solomon and Okello and omagor,and always the dependable fighters up top Jimmy and Onyuu the list goes on…I will always be proud of you for being such extra ordinary human beings and I know you will accomplish the journey we started together by qualifying the team to the FUFA supper league 2021/2022 with big league play offs upcoming .

I will never forget the amaizing fans who have always stood by us during the good and bad times , either during away games or at the Emokori grounds, you are such amazing human beings and always stood by me and Always believed in me unconditionally as your own son of the soil and will always be proud of you ,stand by the team always no matter what and whoever is their us you have always for me.”

I resign as the Head coach of Blacks Power FC as a proud son of the soil with immediate effect due to personal reasons but wish the team all the best and call upon us to stand by the next Head coach of the club because I believe whoever he will be he will take us to another level, I am proud of the team and will always be a number one fan of the club. All the best makers and shakers.God bless us all”

Ongodia replaced Peter Onen at the helms of The Blacks Power and was awarded an employment contract of three years.

Blacks Power finished third on Elgon group in the recently concluded FUFA Big League 2020/21 season.

They will face off in the semi final promotional play offs where the winner will play winner between Nyamityobora and Gaddafi to determine the third team that joins Arua Hill SC and Tooro United in the Uganda Premier League next season.
