It has been months of speculation concerning the future of KCCA FC central midfielder Ivan Ntege. He has been linked with moves away from Startimes stadium to join either Sc Villa or URA but the latest from Botswana indicate that Ntege is on the verge of joining 2016/17 league champions Township Rollers FC the 14 league champions of Botswana premier league.

Ntege Ivan left for Botswana on Saturday and he is currently holding talks with the club in Gabarone

Its believed that Ntege’s contract had expired with KCCA and nothing was yielded from their negotiations. He has been at the KCCA ranks for a period close to 7 years

In case all goes well, Ntege Ivan will join new head coach Nicola Kavawazozic from Serbia and Tshevo Matete who also signed for the club from Baroka FC last month.

Ntege has previously played for Mutundwe Lions before joining KCCA FC, he has also been a key figure for the national side in both African cup qualifiers and African Nations Championships campaigns.

He is also tipped to replace Malawi international central midfielder Lawrence Majawa who departed the club last month for greener pastures.

Ntege will be the second Ugandan footballer to plie his trade in the Botswana premier league following the foot steps of Umar Ngobi who joined Motlakase Power Dynamos in 2015 crossing from Sadolin Paints FC.
