Following their 1-1 stalemate with relegation threatened Mbarara city on Saturday 28th, a section of angry fans threw insults to head coach Wasswa Bbosa accusing him of incompetence and the failure to steer the team back to winning ways as their title chances look to be fading away.

SC Villa have now fallen 2 points behind Vipers SC with 5 games to the closure of the season but team captain Bernard Muwanga insists there is a lot to play for and all is not yet done, despite a temporary dip in form.

” The previous two games have not gone in our favour but we are still strong and determined as ever. It’s been a big disadvantage to our rhythm but luck has just not been on our side after creating a lot of goal scoring opportunities”

” We are still very focused and together as a team. We believe we can win the remaining 5 games, you never know what fate has in store because everyone can still lose a game.”

He added

Regarding the fans’ discontentment, the captain called for calm and called them upon to continue supporting the team in numbers as they have been doing all throughout the long journey.

” The fans expressed their feeling of disappointment towards our failure to deliver to their expectations, the responsibility is upon us the players and the technical team to deliver. All we need is winning the remaining matches and we shall be crowned champions.

SC Villa will host Kirinya JSS on Wednesday 2nd April 2018 and their final 5 games include trips to UPDF FC, Express FC, Proline and finally a home game against BUL FC
