ISRAEL: Bayo opens up scoring account at Bnei Sakhnin

Bnei Sakhnin 1-0 Hapoel Tel Aviv

Ugandan striker Fahad Bayo Aziz scored the lone goal as Bnei Sakhnin beat Hapoel Tel Aviv in Sakhnin in the Israeli Premier League.

Bayo tapped home from close range to break the deadlock for the home side in the 43rd minute.

The Cranes forward who is on loan from Ashdod FC, was later withdrawn in the second half.

The goal was his second of the season having scored the first one in first round for Ashdod FC.

Having won their ninth game of the season, Bnei Sakhnin currently sit 5th on the league table with 31 points from 21 games. Hapoel Tel Aviv sit 4th with two points more.

Bayo and teammates will face Hapoel Haifa next week on Sunday in their next game.

William Kizito Luwagga, another Ugandan in Israel, will be in action for Hapoel Nof Hagaliil this Sunday against Beitar Jerusalem.

Ashdod, home to defender Timothy Awany, will be in action on Monday against Maccabi Haifa.
