URA FC opened their second round of the season with a comfortable 2-0 win over SC Villa on Tuesday at Arena of Visions in Bombo.

Daniel Isiagi and substitute Michael Birungi scored in either half as the tax collectors humbled Villa.

SC Villa players Amir Kakomo, Charles Lwanga, Derrick Ndahiiro, Nicholas Kabonge and Gavin Kizito Mugweri all missed the contest because of unsorted licence issues.

Isiagi fired the hosts into an early lead in the second minute of the game nodding in a Shafik Kagimu quality cross.

Birungi who was introduced on early in the second half for Mikidad Ssenyonga, doubled URA FC’s advantage with a cool tap in off a Joachim Ojera delivery in the 64th minute.

Ronald Magwali had his decent effort kiss the crossbar with URA custodian beaten while Fahad Badiro and Ambrose Kirya all came close.

The home side’s fine performance was enough to see them through. Their attacking players excelled and created two well worked goals, while their defence solid through and Villa just could not break it down.

Edward Kaziba’s side struggled to create anything of note. They were without any real quality in the final third, something that must worry Kaziba.

SC Villa who remain fourth placed on the log with 27 points, will next host Busoga United on Tuesday 14th January while URA FC on 23 points are sixth and will visit BUL FC.
