Isabirye, BUL FC halt winless streak with victory over Onduparaka

BUL FC snapped their six match winless run with a 3-1 victory over Onduparaka FC at Kabaka Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe on Saturday.

In fact this was their first win under the stewardship of Alex Isabirye. BUL FC had lost three and drawn thrice in their previous league games.

Goals from Deogracious Ojok, Jospeh Ssemujju and Simon Oketch inspired the Jinja outfit to a comfortable win.

Kabon Living found a consolation for the visitors which also turned out to be his 11th goal of the campaign.

The hosts led at halftime courtesy of Ojok early strike and a well converted penalty from winger Ssemujju in the 40th minute.

In the final 15 minutes of the contest, Oketch scored the third with a cool finish before Kabon pulled one back in the 80th minute.

Following their victory, BUL are now 11th with 30 points while Onduparaka FC are 12th with 28 points in 26 games.

BUL will next visit MYDA at the King George Stadium in Tororo on July 15th while Onduparaka FC visit Vipers at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on June 19th, 2021
