Yesterday, Masavu Fc suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Maroons which puts their total number of losses to 5 this season only.

Head coach Alex Gitta says that his team still has time to put their bad form right and they will address their challenges to get back on track. He said,

“Though my club has lost this game, my players have impressed me with their performance indeed they have improved a lot compared to the previous home games. We have faced two challenges this season, we have been conceding goals in the opening minutes of the game and in the final minutes during the games we have played this season.

The good thing we have addressed the issue of conceding in the opening minutes but we need to solve that of losing the game in the final minutes like it has been the case today.”

On the home performance, Gitta says that the status of the home ground also hinders his team’s performance,

“We have performed well away from home like at Kavumba, Lugogo and Bombo than we perform at home and i think the status of the pitch affects us. Our performance against Maroons has not been bad, we put up fight up-to the last minute and missed a lot of chances.”

Gitta believes his team will bounce back and put up a great performance in their next fixture away to KCCA Fc,

“We play Kcca Fc next away from home and i believe we are to put up a great performance against them basing on our away form this season.”

Masavu will visit KCCA Fc in their next fixture at Startimes Stadium on 4th November.
