How SC Villa did their transfer business in preparation for the new season

The transfer window in Uganda officially closed on Wednesday midnight as various clubs strengthened their squads

Uganda’s record league champions who will be under the stewardship of Jackson Magera and Ibrahim Kirya strengthened their squad ahead of the 2022/23 season with over 10 new recruits.

According to the club’s administration, during the transfer window they considered players with the passion and heart to play for the club.

On deadline day, Villa captured the signature of former URA FC midfielder Ivan Sserubiri who was perhaps their big name player signing of the concluded transfer window.

The other notable name is forward Ivan Bogere who joined Villa from Proline FC.

The other new signings at Villa are Seif Batte joined from Gaddafi FC, Pitsi Barenge (Mbarara City FC), Hassan Musana (Gaddafi FC), Nsereko Muhammed (Tooro United), Najib Tusaba (Maroons FC), Masembe Edward (Impala Hill), Muhindo Aslam (Nyamityobora FC), Hamzah Mulambuzi (Proline FC) and Martin Elungat (Mbarara City FC).

Benson Muhindo, Saddam Juma, Salim Abdallah, Saddam Masereka, Amir Kakomo have all left the club.

Villa will begin their league campaign against Gaddafi FC on 2nd October at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
